Is an $823 MILLION increase in spending really a decrease?
Apparently so in Orwellian Harrisburg.
During a Senate Majority Policy Committee hearing at Lebanon Valley College on May 31, 2007, Gov. Ed Rendell’s biggest cheerleader for higher taxes and more government spending was asked if an increase in General Fund budget spending of 3.2%—which is the equivalent of $823 million—would be considered a cut.
