Support the Pennsylvania Taxpayer Protection Act!Maybe the politicians in Harrisburg are finally listening to Pennsylvania Taxpayers. There are two Taxpayer Protection bills pending before the Senate Finance Committee this week. TAKE ACTION now to send a message to state lawmakers to support these bills! SB7 and SB707 would protect taxpayers by placing strict limits on the annual growth of General Fund spending in Harrisburg. Spending restraint is clearly needed because the General Fund budget has been increasing at double and triple the rate of inflation for many years. It is clear that Pennsylvania has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Once you send your email to legislators, please take the time to call each member of the Senate Finance committee and ask them to support SB7 and SB707. Here are their names and phone numbers: Pat Browne 717-787-1349 In addition to placing limits on the annual growth of state spending, SB7 and SB707 would require that tax surpluses be returned to the taxpayers, the people who earned the money in the first place. For more details on these two bills click here. The Taxpayer Protection bills are common sense solutions to overspending in Harrisburg. It is time we put the state government on a spending diet.
